Much better than expected. I'm not sure why but this Metallica concert film was ignored by every rock fan I know, maybe it was seen by everyone as a 'make Metallica some more money' or due to over exposure. Here in England we have been treated to Metallica playing a lot of festivals. I have seen them live about 4 or 5 times in the last ten years. I watched this film free on a plane, I probably wouldn't of watched it otherwise. They are one of the best bands to see live so i'm not sure why the film was ignored but onto the review.
This is Metallica blowing the budget off a couple of million and boy to they make it into a great live show. Metallica playing in the round, TV… Read more
I recieved this book at christmas and I love it. The whole idea of street photography is demonstrated in this book. The idea that photos of normal life may not interesting for many years, but once the years have passed they take on a different interest for the viewer. Seeing a whole London street of carts and horses would of been normal to the photographer. Those photos now look facinating because streets aren't filled with carts and horses. I have liked street photography before but this year I have tried to compile my own images of 2014 of people and places. I may not get there but hopefully I can take photos that will be as interesting as the ones included in this book.
I've really got back into the music on this album. I really like quite a lot of the songs on this album, St anger, the untamed feeling and my favourite track Frantic. There are good songs fighting to get out it is just ruined the awful production and in particular the drums. I remember seeing these songs live during a headline set at Download festival and they really come into their own. What it need is Metallica to re-record the album or release a live tour version recorded.
