After seeing Fenix*TX live twice in the space of 4 months I felt bad not owning the album, so I took my not-so-hard-earned cash down to Virgin and bought Lechuza. The band itself is excellent live- energetic, funny and tight, but much to my disappointment, I didn't get the same buzz from the album. Lechuza is not a bad LP, it just isn't a very good one either. The problem is that Fenix*TX don't push any boundaries or show us how they're different from the next band in their genre; Lechuza is a satisfactory pop-punk album, which, unfortunately for them, assigns them to a career of supporting better bands like New Found Glory or playing tiny, dirty, out-of-town clubs.
