Lost In The Dream ~ The War on Drugs

What an outstanding record this is. I have listened to The War on Drugs develop over their three albums. “Slave Ambient” was great but this is in another league. I bought it, played it, played it and played it. Not for a long’ long time have I been as impressed with an album and I have been buying records for over fifty years now.

The standout track for me is “Eyes to the Wind”. I defy anyone to play it once without wanting to immediately play it again. “An Ocean Between the Waves” is another amazing track. This is seriously good music played by seriously good musicians. Granduciel’s voice is superb and his song writing is wonderful. What a major talent he is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great piece of kit!, 29 Oct 2013
Ordered on Saturday and arrived Tuesday. Installed and working in two seconds flat! I bought them primarily to use with my Samsung smart TV and they are just the job for that and certainly a lot cheaper than a dongle. As my router is upstairs the signal strength downstairs is a bit weak. I wired one up to an old Netgear N150 router in my lounge and it works a treat. Signal strength much improved. The adapters are plugged into extension leads at both ends and this does not seem to have caused any problem at all. I can thoroughly recommend these adapters. A fantastic buy at the price.

I saw the film many years ago and it had a major impact on my record buying for many years. At the time all my friends were into the Stones, Beatles and other British bands but for me West Coast music was much more exciting and innovative. My eternal thanks go to John Peel for introducing me to so much treasure!

For me, one of the most memorable Monterey performances was “Section 43” by Country Joe and the Fish. Sadly it is not on this set although it is on the 2cd set I acquired at… Read more
