I have always loved the soprano voice and Natalie Dessay has been my number one favourite for many years. Here she does not disappoint. This CD which now dates back almost 10 years has her singing in her home tongue a wonderful selection of arias, some less familiar than others. The voice, as always, is beautiful, sounding young and fresh and supple, her coloratura as breathtaking as ever. Highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Very Sexy Voice, 17 Dec 2012
I purchased this album because I am a singer, and I particularly wanted a version of 'Get Out of Town' which included the verse. This appears to be two albums in one, the first devoted to Cole Porter songs, the second to a live cabaret performance. Jeri Southern had a very distinctive style, the voice both warm and intimate. There is a good selection of songs, and the second album includes the number for which I think she is best remembered 'When I Fall in Love'. Recommended.
Maraschino Luxardo Cherry Liqueur 50 cl by Luxardo

Luxardo is almost certainly the brand leader and I have almost always purchased this brand. A small amount poured onto a fruit salad makes an ideal accompaniment. It is particularly good on strawberries. It is often difficult to find in the High Street. On the debit side however, it is the most expensive Maraschino Liqueur on the market, particularly as most other brands are for 70cl whilst Luxardo is only 50cl. I have recently purchased a 70cl bottle of the brand 'Briottet' for a little over 16 but I have yet to try it. If it is good, it is a far better buy than Luxardo which costs more than 19.
