Solid, nicely made trays. My only complaint may be irrelevant to U.K. folk (I'm not sure) but Americans might be interested to know that the proportions make this more of a tartlet pan than a muffin or cupcake pan. Or at least IMHO this is the case: I think of both muffins and cupcakes as taller.

I see that the description gives the height of the indentations, however, so this is really my fault for not having figured this out prior to purchasing. Never mind -- they're bound to come in handy for any number of things!

I dove into it with enthusiasm as expected, but by the time I'd reached the end I was surprised to find myself wondering if I'd ever pick it up off the shelf again, and considering it's a pretty pricey book, had I known that I might have held off from ordering.

I agree with any other reviewers who consider it utopian, certainly in the city/community planning sense, although at the same time I'd have to admit that I agree with many of the ideas. It was really in the details of planning a house that it disappointed and as that was the section I most looked forward to, well, "bummer" (to stick with the lovely touchy-feely hippie vernacular the book inspires).

I really don't know what the other (2-star) reviewer was on about. There are plenty of photos, first of all, and secondly, photos which I've not found online, or even in the Architectural Digest's archives.

But maybe what's most important is that this is a book to be READ not just a coffee table pretty-pictures book. She gives some truly valuable information in the text about the decorating process from start to finish, and the writing is intelligent, interesting, and friendly.
