This album i thought would always sound best on vinyl, with the overplayed crackling before the intro, but this re-issue reaffirms a great master at his best, before Ziggy and before the pressure to release more great work.
Musically brilliant and lyrically obscure, this album shines where modern equivalents fail. Its perfect pop, today it would stand tall and proud against the likes of Coldplay, Oasis - infact they probably wouldnt exist without this. When youve listened to this check out the DVD - Greatest Hits - the first disc especially.

Although not a true classic studio album, this is an excellent collection of some of Japans best music. From 1978, when the rest of the UK was pogo-ing to new punk, Japan had already moved on with a new style of new wave chic. From Adolecent Sex to Tin Drum this album captures all that Japan brought to music. Stick you Durans and your Spandaus - this is what the early 80's was about.
