The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer
The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer
The author obviously knows about mental health and lives out the uncomfortable details well in the book. At times it feels like driving a familiar road in fog. You know where you are going but it all takes on a strange surreal quality and it takes a lot longer than you think to get there. This is a strength and a weakness as I found I lost empathy with the main character.

3.0 out of 5 stars A light summer read, 16 May 2014
There were elements of this book that I enjoyed. However, parts were rather repetitious and it became tedious in parts. It felt as if the author lost his way.

I read this as I enjoyed the misremembered man.it was enjoyable but not as convincing a story. The plot was a little thin in places.
