1.0 out of 5 stars Too many errors, 19 Jun 2013
At this price and on the 6th edition there is no excuse for the number of errors and typos. A clear example is on page 16 where the unfortunate Snyder has his name spelled two different ways in as many lines. This is a book for students and accuracy is important. I should not have to go off to Google to fact check a text book. Michael Eysenck is a giant amongst psychologists and should remove his association with this poorly proof-read edition.

Update - worse the writing style is awful. Count the number of paragraphs that begin "First", "secondly", "thirdly" several of which contain sub-lists also beginning "first", etc. It feels like it has been written to deliberately confuse… Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars Not awful, but..., 17 May 2010
The device isn't awful. My iPod Touch 3G plugged into it neatly(ish) and it works fine. It charges, looks neat and plays fine too. Ok, now the "but":-

The sound is tinny and has a distinct lack of bass. In fact in my opinion it's really tinny. If I play the same file from iTunes on my PC speakers and on this device, this is substantially poorer. The speakers are small and I guess this is the main problem. The sound is also slightly fuzzy and ill-defined. I'm no audiophil but it just doesn't sound right. In terms of sound quality I would put this at about 20, not the 46 I paid for it.

The dock itself isn't too smooth. I guess it's designed to work with the deeper… Read more
