I read this compelling story in the space of a weekend - once I had started it I couldn't stop until I had reached the end. It is a very touching story and required a good few tissues in the last few chapters. I will be recommending it to all my friends and can't wait to read Joyce's other book.
The Curse of Lovely: How to break free from the de&hellip by Jacqui Marson
I read a magazine article based on the principles in this book and it made so much sense that it led me to borrow a copy from my local library. I am currently taking a course in CBT and this book has proved to be a very useful accompaniment. It is an enjoyable read - I liked the author's 'voice', which is of someone sharing their own experience as well as their expertise. The combination of information and case studies illustrating the key points also works really well. I feel that it is a book I would go back to and the exercises are 'doable'.
I Still Dream About You by Fannie Flagg
I Still Dream About You by Fannie Flagg
I discovered Fannie Flagg's books a few months ago and have been reading any I can get my hands on ever since. This is my fourth and I am still as big a fan as ever. Fannie writes the kind of books where you don't want to leave the characters behind. Her stories are humourous, insightful and a little quirky. It would be hard to choose a favourite - I hope she writes another soon as I'm about to run out!
