the subject is interesting, the style is indifferent, there are some errors in text, especially regarding location and grammar. Good holiday read .
The Unlikely Pilgrimage Of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce
It is an easy read, slightly repetitive of over-analytical of the same characters. Some good insights of family dynamics but over idealistic to be credible

The story is very moving and one can feel almost the emotional and physical changes people got through in Germany before and during the war. However the book looses its impact due to either the author's skills or the translator's. It is forever changing the point of view and it sails from first person into third person. It is a little too verbose as well
