If you like jazz find yourself a copy of this wonderful book. The sonnets are quite brilliant and recreate the players and the era with great success. The striking lino cut illustrations also bring the jazzmen to life. I knew Pete when he lived in Manchester and he was working on a book about Louis Armstrong, I don't think it has been published yet.Get a move on Pete.Best Wishes George x

This thing really is a blast from the past, it's absolutely fabulous. It takes you back to a time of lazy Sunday mornings, roast dinners, Billy Cotten on the "wireless" and your Dad working his B......s off in the garden. It even makes the sound that a lolly stick used to make in your bike spokes! Dream over, it isn't perfect but it does the job when you can't be bothered with setting up the big mower. I was lucky, I bought mine at an X-Catalogue shop for £16 brand new still in it's box. Of course, it's made in China but then what isn't these days.

I paid for the CD on the understanding that it is mine to do with as want, if record companies continue to go down this road it will only backfire on them, pushing people to download tracks from fileshare sites. Anybody who buys CDs with embedded software like this should be made aware of its… Read more
