"Three Men in a Boat" still makes me laugh after reading it for the first time more than 50 years ago. This is the book I would insist on taking to the desert island of "Desert Island Discs" fame. This book should be part of the National School Curriculum. This book is a joy, a gem, a literary work of art, a hilarious comment on human nature seemingly unchanged since its publication in 1895 - hence (I think) its reason for having never been out of print. See ourselves as others see us....PLEASE READ THIS BOOK!
