In My Own Words:
A student of life, I also have a love of fictional books and humourous writers. Australian in origin, residing in England, but Scotland is home. An avid reader of, and now an avid listener to books.

Many and varied. In terms of non-fiction, I tend to read around the pre-Christian religions of the British Isles.

Compact Portable Hard Drive Case by Case Logic
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect, 17 April 2014
I already owned on of these in blue, but needed another when the case supplied with my other hard drive finally gave up the ghost, i.e, the zippers snapped.

I like these cases because they are the exact size of my hard drives, are brightly coloured and thus easily found at the bottom of a backpack, or purse, or on the bookshelf, and they last. My blue case has outlasted the supplied case by two years. Would definitely recommend these cases for protecting your precious external hard drives.
Brabantia Rectangular Laundry Basket - Grey by Brabantia
5.0 out of 5 stars Simple, but brilliant, 10 Jan 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I was in need of a clothes basket when this came up for review. I am so pleased I selected it.

This is a very simple, folding design which arrives flat packed. There is no assembly, just folding as the only separate piece being is a rubber mat which sits at the base. It has what appears to be water-proofed panels, and a magnet around the holes in the two top flaps which overlap to hold the laundry bag in place. It's very light, but once the magnets come together, very sturdy, and it can take quite a bit of battering. What I like about it most is that it sits unobtrusively inside my built-in wardrobe during the week, collecting a week's worth of dirty laundry, and then, when I… Read more
Russell Hobbs 19143 Heritage Kettle - 1.8 Litre - &hellip by Spectrum Brands
4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful design, 17 Oct 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I am very pleased with this kettle: It suits the colour scheme I chose for my kitchen - I know purple isn't the usual. I also like the design, which hints at the past. I am surprised by how quiet it is in comparison to my last (very cheap) kettle, as I hardly notice it turn off unless I am physically in the kitchen. From an ergonomic perspective, it is wonderful to handle. My Heritage Kettle only lost one star in my rating because I have a very small kitchen, and the design means it has a slightly wider base than normal, taking up just that little bit of badly needed space. I'm sure, in a regular-sized kitchen, this wouldn't matter. I adore my stylish Russell Hobbs kettle.
