As a HUGE SatC fan, I was really looking forward to this 'soundtrack'. As a show that uses music to beautifully enhance key moments, I was expecting some real treats. However, this is just not the case with this compilation. Yes, there are a few familiar tracks that have been used to great effect on the show (who can forget Carrie dusting herself off and carrying on down the catwalk to Cheryl Lynn's 'Got to be Real'?). However, it seems that they've just decided to throw together a load of 'chick friendly' tracks to cash in on the fact that the series was ending. Why, oh why, didn't anyone tell me about this guy? If you haven't heard of James Lavelle and you're wondering whether or not to buy this album, wonder no more. Buy it. I only wish I'd tracked him down at dance festivals in years gone by (I still might ;o)). It's difficult to describe this album other than by saying it's class and everyone 'in the know' seems to own it. However, they're not willing to share their little secret...unless that is, you stumble across it yourself.

A classic to stand the test of time. Think of this as the chilled out version of Hybrid's 'Wide Angle' if you like. It takes you on a musical journey (great accompaniment for long distance journeys too, by the way!). I've had this in my collection for many years and I never tire of it. A must for any discerning dance enthusiast.
