The Natural Cook: Eating the Seasons from Root to &hellip by Tom Hunt

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
The Natural Cook is the perfect cookbook for those people that love their vegetarian dishes, but eat meat occasionally too - and since that includes me I have to say I loved this book. It's broken down into chapters focussed on each season, then within each season are mini-chapters focussed on a particular ingredient that's most readily available at that time of year. So, for example, you get a clutch of recipes centred around asparagus in Spring and another around beetroot in Autumn. It's a nice approach and each mini-chapter features both twists on familiar dishes, like making your own Pesto with watercress instead of basil leaves, and some much less expected ideas, like Strawberry and… Read more
[2 PACK] Premium Dry Bags - two 500D PVC Tarp wate&hellip The Friendly Swede

5.0 out of 5 stars Inside and outside..., 11 Aug 2014
Although the Friendly Swede Dry Bags are meant to keep the wet out, they're equally good at keeping it in too - so they're great for carrying around things that might leak or make a mess, like your shopping on the way home, a picnic lunch or a muddy pair of shoes. In use they're pretty much indestructible, made from thick-ish tarpaulin-like material and with all the important joints sealed or welted. The webbing carrying straps seem a bit thin and basic but I haven't actually had any problems with them yet. Using them is easy, just roll down the top a couple of times, there's a rigid plastic strip sewn into the top to help you do this, and then clip them shut. I doubt they'd be waterproof… Read more
Satechi Bluetooth Wireless Smart Keypad for iMac, &hellip by Satechi

4.0 out of 5 stars Facts and figures..., 1 Aug 2014
Anytime I'm using Apple's standard Bluetooth keyboard I really miss the numeric keypad on the right because whenever I have to enter figures or co-ords my fingers just reach for it instinctively - so I was happy to see Satechi come up with one solution to the problem. The Smart Keypad is a very good colour and texture match for Apple's original aluminium-topped keyboards - but it isn't actually made from aluminium, although you'd hardly notice until you feel it. The finish seems really good, maybe not quite to Apple's obsessive standards but close enough, and it looks perfectly at home sat next to the keyboard. It isn't the same size front-to-back of course but the greater depth… Read more
