1.0 out of 5 stars Expensive and flawed, 7 Jun 2014
This kettle is slow to boil. In under two hours the water is not hot enough for tea. It pours maddeningly slowly and awkwardly. The lid is tricky to get on and off. You can't tell how hot the water inside is or how much there is, so is frequently re-boiled anyway. It simply does not properly do what it claims.

It is very pretty though. As kettles go.

1.0 out of 5 stars ancestor worship, 5 Sep 2008
An important historical document but not a guide to contemporary thinking or teaching. Should be read by anyone keen to understand an important stage in theatrical pedagogy's progression from Stanislavski onwards - and Hagen was certainly a player. However as a practical guide it is very dated. The writings of Declan Donellan, David Mamet, Mike Alfreds and many others completely overshadow the approach described here. Fussy and self-absorbed when held up against more recent analysts and teachers.

Henry has a lot to recommend him - creative, funny, candid and adventurous. As for Moody Margaret - a triumph! No way is this anti-girls, MM (Henry's nemesis) is more than a match for Henry. Funnily enough, my kids all vie for the title of Perfect Peter - which is testament to… Read more
