It's almost impossible to believe this is the same Paul Chek, turning to the diet pages made me doubt this, I guess Paul's thinking has evolved somewhatever of the last decade or so (that's no criticism mind) but for fans of Paul's work with the C.H.E.K programs, and the CHEK Institute this shows how his training and knowledge has evolved.
I am a huge fan of Mr. Chek's work, but this is not one of his finest moments, and I'm sure it's one he'd rather wasn't still in print when it's put up against the almighty "How to Eat, Move and Be Healthy" along with his amazingly detailed core training programs.
I've tried to read this book twice now, and bar the only chapter which seemed to have any evidence, or indeed anything remotely interesting to say (Dr. Malcolm Kendrick's views on cholesterol) the rest of the book conflicts with 'psuedoscience' and strict interpretation of epidemiology; then uses the very same to make its point.
After around 100 pages of reading, as another buyer has suggested, 'thinly veiled right-wing rants', and several instances of "we're medical doctors... so trust us, WE alone know what is good for you," I gave up, on both occasions.
I certainly wouldn't purchase any more titles by the authors.
