Gardiner J R : General Butterfingers by John Reynolds Gardiner
Gardiner J R : General Butterfingers by John Reynolds Gardiner
We read Stonefox first, and General Butterfingers did not disappoint.
A lovable and exciting story of a boy and three quirky war-veterans who fight for the house they live in.
My daughters are 5 1/2 and 8 and I enjoyed reading this book to them as much as they enjoyed the story.
Highly recommended.
The Elves and the Shoemaker in Somali and English &hellip by Henriette Barkow
This retelling of the classic Grimm's tale is well written
and beautifully illustrated.

My daughters (7 and 5) enjoy it very much and the oldest happily reads it for us all for evening "story time".
Raps: Robin Hood Raps (Rap Rhymes) by Tony Mitton
This little book has been read and reread: my daughters (7 and 4) know whole parts by heart. The rap-rhymes tell the story of the merry men in chapters, the text with strong alliterations and rhythm makes the girls join in. Highly recommended, though unfortunately only available second hand.
