Throbbing Gristle are arguably one of the most influential bands of all time. The group who coined the phrase "Entertainment Thru Pain" and heralded the 'Industrial' movement and subsequent genre following their and other associated artists on their Industrial Records label. Over a short but productive tenure they created a small collection of studio albums, a few perverse singles and a mass of semi-official bootleg recordings of their critically acclaimed and intentionally difficult live performances. This album originally released by Rough Trade in the early-mid 80s was intended as an introduction to the band for the uninitiated. The Cure possibly earned some criticism in 1994. This was one of two live albums released that year, the other being the high profile 'Show' which was accompanied by a full on concert film that had limited screenings in venues around the world. This release came with no film and little fanfare. It was considered justified for two reasons 1) It was a charity release (like their earlier excelent Entreat album documenting an appearence at Wembley during the Disintegration Tour) and 2) It contained songs that the cure rarely played live.
