(THIS REVIEW IS BASED ON THE LIMITED RELEASE ON THE BANDS OWN LABEL, WITH THE ASSUMPTION THAT THE GENERAL RELEASE WILL BE EXACTLY THE SAME - AS STATED ON THE PT WEBSITE)
Warszawa comprises a 70+ minute show that was broadcast on Polish radio in 2001. So no In Absentia here, but the majority of songs are from the nearest release at the time, Lightbulb Sun. If you have only heard In Absentia - don't be disillusioned, because the earlier stuff is very much along the same lines, so you will not be dissapointed!
The rest of the show is somewhat of a 'Greatest Hits', with songs such as Voyage 34, Signify, Even Less etc. The Lightbulb Sun songs sound vibrant (Russia On Ice, the 10+… Read more

For years I have been waiting for something to really blow me away on DVD-Audio, and this is it! There is tremendous variety in the song styles, precision and clarity in the way the songs are played, and emotion and intelligence in Steven Wilson's lyrics. Combine these with SW's growing ear for production, and you end up with one of the most exceptional and underrated albums of the last decade.

The acoustics on 'Trains' are clear and crisp. 'Lips Of Ashes' sounds mystical, 'Strip The Soul' just sounds so powerful. I do not have to… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Blackfield, 28 July 2004
Months and months of waiting and finally it is here! The 2CD 'International Edition' of the Blackfield album. This album has been out in Israel for nearly 6 months now on single CD, but the newer version will be worth the wait!
The music here is so good you honestly won't be dissapointed. 10 stunning pop songs, a-la Lightbulb Sun-era Porcupine Tree. Geffen worked his wonders on backing vocals on Porcupine Tree's critically acclaimed 'In Absentia' album, and he proves again here what a talent it is. The songs are simple, elegant and catchy, and will have you humming and singing along for weeks.
This truly is a hidden gem, one which deserves to catapult this band to the forefront of… Read more
