Formula One Season Review 2012 [DVD]

Like many a forumla fan, I must have these stretching back many a year and so I've topped up collection with the previous years review. However I can't say I'm overly impresssed. Whilst going back there's certain years that you look back upon fondly (the Clive James trilogy being amongst my favourites), there was also some stinkers, including the 1983 review with that woman screeching away in the background.

First off, the DVD version contains just the races. The Blu-Ray may contain an extra called "The Story of 2012", but it almost feels like buying a copy of your favourite TV series, you only get the odd-numbered episodes on DVD and if you want to see the even stuff buy the… Read more
GREEK: CHAPTER 5 - COMPLETE THIRD SEASON

CONTAINS SPOILERS

First of, this "Chapter" includes what was initially aired as "Chapters 5&6" on initial airings and so contains 20 episodes to the usual 10/12 of the 4 previous DVD releases and so at the end of Disc 3 I believe, they're is a comparatively big cliffhanger ending a TV Chapter.

However, having watch the entire show, this block of episodes feels the weakest of all the chapters. That's not to say it's a complete washout, because it still entertaining, but lacks the freshness of the first four chapters and perhaps the urgency of the final chapter.

There are some shows, and they will be different for most of us, that come over from America and despite the fact that they appear to be hugely popular, you can never quite see what the appeal is and then there are shows like Greek, where it appears no one else watches it and it's entertaining, enchanting and emotional.

Like most TV shows, there's episodes, characters, couples that we prefer, but I found Greek refresing in many ways. Whilst like most of it's genre, it finds a lots of couples out quite a few characters, it also found a unique and different to angle to come from.
