This is a perfect example how third person beat-em-ups should be made. Largely ridiculous action. It's a pity this title could not come out sooner worldwide! I really hope Platinum Games develop more titles like this in the future, or even a sequel. It's highly addictive once you get into the swing of it. Only major issue is that the story-mode needs to be re-played too much to unlock everything, not to say that it's not enjoyable, but I'd rather there were separate unlockable missions that weren't accessible through a hub-world. I was skeptical of this game ever since the trailer was shown at E3, but after completing it my doubts have diminished. Konami was willing to take a risk with this game unlike many big publishers that too often release many of the same genre titles again and again each year, but never any original experiences. This fast paced title is a welcome change.
There are a lot of hidden tasks throughout the game such as finding the VR missions, men hiding in boxes, protecting the civilians and collecting limb data, harder than you think. This is a solid game start to finish. The story isn't made out to be overly serious, something which many modern games are missing! The humor contains many pop-culture references (Amazon wishlist is even mentioned in the game!), it is one of the few comedy games out at the minute. What I loved most about this game is the soundtrack, classic tunes such as 'You Spin Me Right Round' are heard. All the music accompanies hilarious action sequences and is very fitting.
