In My Own Words:
I'm married with a son who is 16. Neither of the men in my life like reading but they equal my reading obsession with football fanaticism.

I am a Christian and, although not into organised religion, I would consider myself devout and absolutely committed to my faith and to my God.

I love being with family and friends but I need my own space too.

Immediate Obedience: The Adventure of Tuning in to&hellip by Rod Loy

Challenging stuff!
Do not read this book unless you want to be seriously challenged as a Christian. It has been an uncomfortable read for me as it has shown me how far away I am from 'immediate obedience'. However, the book has inspired me and is turning my life upside down. Funnily enough though, when I re-read the gospels Jesus teaches exactly the same thing!
The writer's normality and warmth shines through and it is very well written. I am so glad I have read this book and I recommend it to any Christian looking to commit fully to their relationship with God. This is fantastic stuff!

I have read many books on bible prophecy but they only present the information from the author's interpretative perspective so I was always left confused as there are various interpretations. This book presents all the views in a simple and informative way. The writer does offer his opinion and why he holds it; however, he presents the other viewpoints fully along with arguments for and against the point of view. It really has cleared up difficult concepts for me and has helped me have an informed opinion. The book is easy to read. The style is straightforward, simplifying a fairly academic subject without losing the depth. You can… Read more

This is a brilliant book. I absolutely love it. It is incredibly interesting yet great fun to read and do. It is packed full of exercises and they are serious psychology tests but they are presented in a fun way with an easy to understand explanation and evaluation. The writer adds jokes and real fun stuff. He is clearly very academic but he presents his material in a very accessible, informative way
