Classic Nuts Vol.1 ~ The Beatnuts
Classic Nuts Vol.1 ~ The Beatnuts
5.0 out of 5 stars Great album, 29 July 2012
There are some great tracks on here, with a number of them being sampled by other artists (e.g. J.Lo used Track 2 'Watch Out Now' for her 'Jenny from the block' track - don't let that put you off!) This CD has 'colourful' language throughout (and didn't need as much) which distracts slightly, but overall you like this style of music, you'll love this album, and the more I listen to it, the more I enjoy it.

As a confirmed Japanophile, I am always drawn to any media products to do with the country. Despite my pre-disposition to find this book interesting, it exceeded my expectations enormously. Having lived there just under two years I thought that I knew a fair bit about the culture, but I learnt a lot through Hector Garcia's astute choice of topics and quite honestly, this is the book I wish I had written while I was there. It is packed full of information - great value for money, a lot of illustrations, pictures and insightful explanations and observations on the culture and Japanese people, I cannot recommend it enough. I look forward to reading anything else by this author and I have… Read more
Young Messiah ~ The New London Chorale
Young Messiah ~ The New London Chorale
5.0 out of 5 stars Uplifting & joyous, 29 July 2012
Like a number of reviewers, I first heard this in the 80's on vinyl, and loved it. Consequently I tried to find it on CD which was really difficult, so was delighted to find it here on MP3. This has worked perfectly with my i-tunes, and at a price I was happy to pay given that it's not a 'mainstream' music product. As a lover of classical music I am usually skeptical of updating / modernising the tunes, but I love the arrangements of the Messiah, and yes, I think it does make it more accessible. Love the music and love the price of the download. Well done Amazon!
