Ancient Egypt (Eyewitness Project Books) by Dorling Kindersley
5.0 out of 5 stars Learning accompliment, 22 Sep 2013
I bought this as my 8yr old is learning about the Egyptians at school. Provides 'key facts' on all aspects of Egyptian society. The 'activities' section looks at things in a little more detail and includes puzzles and quizzes to make learning fun. Multiple choice questions at the back test learning of each section. Comes with gold stars to put on a progress chart and a certificate for completing the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful photographs., 22 Sep 2013
I bought this book for my 8yr old son and it is worth buying for the photographs alone. Gives a brief explanation of how animals are classified and provides pictures of different animals within each species along with interesting facts. Symbols are used to provide information about habitat, lifespan, conservation status etc. which is great for kids as you don't get bogged down with reading. Great as a basic all round guide.

I bought this book as my 8 yr old son is learning about rainforests at school. Great as a basic introduction to rainforests- it explains the different forest layers and gives a brief description of the plants and animals found in each layer. Text is written around the beautiful colour photographs.
