We trust our lives with the people in white coats. What would happen if one of them slipped away by a careless error brought about through tiredness and negligence? Would we seek revenge, retribution? This is explored in Julie Corbin's third novel, Do Me No Harm - as tightly written, carefully plotted and compelling as her first two. She challenges what it means to keep a family together, and how quickly trust in others and ourselves can fall away.

Dr Olivia's guilt-driven sympathy for the perpetrator is finally tested to the limit and the ending, while satisfying, is ripe for a sequel. Bring it on!

Claire is a woman who is plunged into despair as her family's safety is threatened. She is feisty, driven, and capable, and will stop at nothing to get a grip on a situation that will soon tear her family apart. One by one she questions her trust of the closest people in her life, until, with only herself to rely on, she finds the strength she needs.

This book is tight, well-crafted, and takes the author's edge-of-the-seat storytelling skills established in Tell Me No Secrets to a whole new level. Brilliant!

She is tortured and tormented and the author gets inside the character's head so completely that we feel every ounce of Grace's guilt and anxiety. There is tension on every page and the story of what really happened is gradually revealed in engaging flashbacks. Like the other reviewers, I couldn't put the book down and read it everywhere; the characters and story stayed with me long after I'd closed the covers.

I'd definitely recommend this book as one to get lost in, to take on a… Read more
