One of the most important British electronic records ever. As dark as the times it was made in, it still sounds like the future.

The world didn't need another "Best Of" D.A.F compilation ( we had one in 92 ). What we did need was a comprehensive collection of Videos, Live Tracks and B-sides ( Why have we never had Knochen Auf Knochen as a digital version ??? )

Mute did it for Fad Gadget ( and what a brilliant release that was ) this however is just a nasty end of contract rush release job.

You had to be there at the time ( i was ) to understand the impact this record made in the U.K. Now recognised as one of the pioneers of the European dancefloor revolution, D.A.F's compulsive rhythms and frantic vocals took dance music to it's natural extreme. I had seen them the previous year with the original line up while touring their second lp "Die Kleinen Und Die Bosen" a violent German shambles transported to the north east of England... just add a group of local skinheads and shake well .... Awesome !!!
