I was recommended this album by a friend with care and warning that the lyrics delve so deeply into the flaws and corruption of today's society that all the songs emotionally stay with you forever.
And my was he right.

First listen? I didn't really listen to the lyrics as such but more of how James managed to entwine the lyrics with the music so cleverly.
The more I listened to the album, the more I became intrigued by the lyrics. The most gruesome, heart-wrenching and honest lyrics I've ever heard. But they're so amazing.

So what I did was look deeply into what Richey James Edwards was all about. The more I learnt about him, the more I loved the songs and… Read more

After hearing "Run" on the radio, I knew i was in love with this band. I went on their website and previewed the other songs on the album and I decided that this band was truly amazing and bought the album. It didn't disappoint me one bit, the bonus tracks were brilliant alongside the other tracks - I find it ever so difficult to pick and choose between the amazing songs within the album.

There are moments of sadness, anger, happiness, jealousy, and every emotion a human being could possible feel throughout the album. Mr. Lightbody and co should be super proud of this album, it it absolutely brilliant.

Oh yeah...I also recommend you listen to their earlier albums When… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely BRILLIANT!, 11 Jan 2007
Well I've been yearning for a Muse album since I first heard of them but never really got round to buying one until now, yes rather shameful of me to admit but it's true! My sister got me Origin of Symmetry for my birthday a few days ago and trust me when I say this...it is truly the GREATEST album I own!

Pure genius both lyrically and in their instrumentals. I'm so glad, having read the other reviews, that I got their best album before getting their others (which I'm sure are almost as brilliant!)

Seriously. Go. Buy. Origin. NOW!
