I thought at first it would be a romance but it certainly wasn't. It mostly revolves around 2 brothers who head off to France to "do their bit", both for different reasons. A J Warren writes an engrossing story and, as already mentioned, has comprehensively researched the Great War. His description of the brutality and fear of the soldiers really transports the reader to that time.
A magnificent story, well written and of interest not only to war buffs.
The answer - loads! It really is a Tardis of a Backpack.
For cabin carry on luggage restrictions you'd go overweight before you went oversize. Very comfortable when on the shoulders.
Well made, and in green you definitely won't get lost in the crowds. Really stands out.
Thought my clothes would slide around but the adjustable straps outside go as tight as you want, hence no crushed shirts.
The outer zipped pocket is ideal for passport and documents and is very secure. The zips are very sturdy and of a good size.
Handy inner pockets with pen holder and more zipped pockets.
Absolutely delighted with the Backpack and highly recommended.
A replacement door as my Staywell door had broken several times and was held together with tape. (The flap surround had become brittle for some reason).
The Petmate door was easy to fit, although not quite an exact fit, and just needed a small additional cut out of the main door. No big deal.
The Petmate is better quality and less draughty than the Staywell. Whilst much sturdier this doesn't mean much heavier and my huge monster cat didn't have any trouble going in and out.
The draught excluder surrounding the flap works very well and even with last week's high winds there was no draught and the flap remained closed.
Good bit of kit.
