a bit of fun! But not exactly the greatest piece of literature I have invested in! Pick up put down and enjoy.

This is the man who test flew more aircraft than any other and yet is so modest in this fantastic autobiography which is more a history of flight than about him. Superb.

Superb account of how we betrayed one of Britain's greatest aircraft designers, the late great F.G. Miles, and handed the Americans his design to give them the our opportunity of being the first breaking the sound barrier.
