Qawwali - Sufi Music from Pakistan ~ Sabri Brothers
Whilst Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan can be credited with popularising Sufi music in the West I would argue that the Sabri brothers are actually the finest exponents of the genre. The fact there there are two vocalists and richer percussion gives the greater depth to their artistic vision and allows for the construction of harmonies which build and build to ecstatic climax.

Qawwali is an album which glows with an almost incandescent core of spiritual intensity. This is music which reaches out across languages, culture, religion and time to connect and uplift.

Pearl Mystic ~ Hookworms
This is an outstanding album. If you are into the neo-psychedelic sound of artists like Koolaid Electric Company and Brian Jonestown Massacre then exploring the music of the Hookworms should definitely be on your to-do list.
