Even as a non-US resident I became aware of the service and culture within this company, which I've never dealt with myself. The book starts off with a short bio on Hsieh himself and continues with the very specifics of Zappos' culture and uprise. I very much enjoyed the first part, but the second part left me with a bit of a mixed taste. Maybe this is partly because Hsieh outsourced quite some pages to others, to show their perspectives. He's very specific on the company's culture, but at the same time he states that it is impossible to copy one's culture.
I found this book the be a great insight, but I wouldn't say this is a business book in the true sense of the word… Read more
