Nikola Tesla: Imagination and the Man That Invente&hellip by Sean Patrick

I got this book thinking I'd be reading about Tesla's life, his thought processes, his work, his achievements and his failures. I didn't get that. It's a book that's basically about the ideals Tesla had in life, incorporating modern evidence that backs up those theories but very little information about the man himself.

I also found it disappointing that this book was geared towards a very American-centric audience. As a british person, I found most derailments the author went into, beyond and away from Tesla's life, were things I couldn't relate into a more european understanding. It said more about the author's interest in Tesla than Tesla himself. Especially considering… Read more

As a kid, I grew up watching The Goonies, Flight of the Navigator, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Gremlins, Munchie, The Princess Bride, My Best Friend Is A Vampire, Ghostbusters and other films with swearing and rather dark topics and references to sex, when you think deeply about it. And the thing is, you can't say these films aren't aimed at kids any more than you can say these films are only suitable for adults.

And ParaNorman's very much the same. It is a bit dark, it deals with death, and there's references to sex, and there's also toilet humour, zombies and horror galore, which there has to be, given the topic of the film. But not every film aimed at kids has to be all light… Read more
Homecraft Long Handled Net Sponge by Homecraft

1.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely pointless!, 17 April 2013
For a mobility aid, it is unfit for purpose. This is not "long handled", as you'd expect a mobility aid by the description of "long handled" should be, and you might as well get something from poundland and save yourself the extra money. It's described as 15", it's barely that even with the sponge bit included, which it shouldn't be because it's about the handle, not the sponge. When people want to buy long handled things, it's because the average length of these kind of things aren't long enough!
I'll be returning this. It's bad enough that I have to fork out almost 10 on mobility aids, which don't last long, in the first place, it's an insult when it arrives and it's useless.
