The only saving grace for me was Noel Cowards portrayal as the enigmatic catalyst behind the Holden/Hepburn relationship in the film. Really thought that it was going to more, what a terrible vehicle for Hepburn and actually the real life relationship between the two just didn't transpose to screen. Hey ho, you can't win em all!!

5.0 out of 5 stars UNPUTDOWNABLE!, 26 Nov 2006
Everything that is discussed in this book in Sapolskys inimitable style makes you think 'Durr, of course!' as if we missed something so blatently obvious. He has a unique way of writing based on his clear passion for his subject matter, tinged with a little well-placed sarcasm. The battle between males and females throughout the species is fascinating and makes alot of sense. And overall it keeps us homo sapiens neatly in our place as the animal organisms that we are. I have been completely hooked since picking it up and can't wait to read more.

Don't miss it!

Like Dan Brown's style of writing it works for someone like me who leads a very hectic life but wants a read that is fast-paced, progressive through the story and riveting. Not at all indelicate which this notion could easily have tripped into and with a conclusion that doesn't offend or disappoint, really recommend this to anyone who enjoyed the Dan Brown works. Very similar. DO WATCH OUT THOUGH BECAUSE FOR SOME… Read more
