I would like to think that today's kids would understand the appeal of this classic TV series. I fear, however, that the humour and old-fashioned looking muppetry may be lost on them. If this is so and they prefer Barney, Teletubbies and Fimbles then they are sorely missing out in a way that just cannot be explained. I remember this as one of the funniest children's TV programmes of the day and certainly the best of the Muppet-based shows. I would even go so far to say it is better than The Muppets, just for the sheer hilarity I found as a kid and still do today.
It is worth noting though that the picture is unacceptably poor. Granted it is 20years old but the picture is very grainy… Read more

I feel privileged for being born when I was because I got to see Dungeons and Dragons as a kid. Admittedly there are other reasons as well, but this one rates very highly for it just wouldn't be the same watching it for the first time as an adult. Neither would be it be right to be watching it as a kid today because it doesn't have any Power Puff girls flying around saving the day. IOW it would be deemed boring. Not by this avid fan though who, along with a allegiance of fans born in the mid-late 70's, adore this series for it's simple storytelling and entertaining characters. Out of the lead heroic characters, every child must be able to identify him/herself with one of them. Be it a… Read more

Wow, what a rarity! An American TV series that is intelligent, exciting and provocative but NOT pretentious. This is the best TV drama series to come out the States since The X-Files but, for some reason, even though it's now in it's 3rd season in the States, not many people seem to have heard of it over here. Why it is not the biggest import on TV is beyond comprehension! It is so much better than immature teen-trash such as Buffy and it's sickly spin-offs. Alias gives us spies and espionage, betrayal, action, comedy, romance and most-importantly - a beautiful double agent, Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner).
The plot is a little tricky to keep up with but the pilot episode gives a good… Read more
