5.0 out of 5 stars Great Anthology, 22 Aug 2013
Way ahead of their time, the Longpigs' records still sound new today. Great to see someone at a record label put together an accessable complication, although it's a shocker Take It All isn't on here. There's a few radio sessions that I don't own so glad to see them here, along with the Sheffield Version on Dozen Wicked Words, and When You're Alone (go Hawley!!).

Just wait until one day, hopefully, anyone who loves the Longpigs, you will get to hear the Gramercy stuff that was never released..... wow. You can find 'Hold On' on YouTube to give you an idea.

5.0 out of 5 stars brilliant, 22 Nov 2011
upon first listen, i thought it was pretty good. after about 3, i knew it was brilliant. i don't like getting to the end of the album because it makes me feel lost that it's ending, but then i remember i can just play it again. i haven't managed to listen to an album on repeat since the first arctic monkeys album, there's just something about it. possibly better than the crashland album too, and i really love that album. good luck to alex and the boys in LA

i love the old lineup, and saying this sounds nothing like the past 3 albums sounds like a diss, but it's just another work of brilliance. possibly even the best. should have maybe been released under a new band name as it's totally dif, but having said that, i doubt i would… Read more
