After a period of poor albums from artists old and new i was beginning to loose faith in the music scene. However this album is everything you could possibly want.
The bluesy, rocky, sound makes it a perfect album for the summer but with depth here to keep you listening deep into the winter.
Tracks from the EP's have been re-recorded and while never sounding bad before have a lot more weight and substance.
A must have classic.

Don't listen to what you hear. Judge for yourself. This is a different Metallica by all means, but a freshly energised one.
While the album is heavier than anything they've done before, it retains the things we've come to expect from metallica. Never fear it isn't Nu-Metal by any stretch of the imagination.
The lyrics are simple but deadly, fitting in perfectly with the rest of the album which is anger all the way.
From the starting madness of Frantic to the ending madness of All Within My Hands the furious riffage barely lets up. No time for nostalgia in this album.
Unlike anything i've heard before. You must buy it.

Firstly. People who say that the drumming on this album is good clearly aren't drummers themselves or they just don't have much experience of music.
The drumming on this album is very average and I feel it really brings the album down. The bass is excellent and although the guitars aren't particularily interesting, they are steady and stick to the 'morals' of the album which is hardcore underground grunge.
There are the notable exceptions of 'About A Girl' which seems very wrong among the rest of the grunge and inevitably lead to Nirvana forming their unique sound. 'Love Buzz' is also good but as a cover you can't show too much respect for it.
