Birdman by Mo Hayder

The book promised to be as good or better than Thomas Harris, or a refund was in the offing. It didn't disappoint. 'Birdman' is a well-written, intense and in parts, shocking novel that keeps the readers attention throughout the entire story. Complex with twists and turns, there are also touches of humour mixed in along the way.
Caffery's character has potential to grow and become as big as Hayder wishes, and it is only a pity that we are having to wait so long for her second installment. Highly recommended for any fans of crime and psychological thrillers, it will not disappoint!

A must for all Frost fans. This was a pleasure to read from beginning to end. The book has all the charm and wit that one associates with the character that David Jason has brought to the TV version, and keeps you glued until the very end. A beautiful creation, this book is masterpiece and its value in this guise is unquestionable.
