Midsummer Night (A Lady Julia Grey Novel - Book 7) by Deanna Raybourn
4.0 out of 5 stars lacking substance, 8 May 2014
love the first three books, good solid story line, wonderful characters and brilliant dialogue. I still enjoyed this story but felt that it was lacking, the story felt light and there was less weight to the whole book. It felt easier to read as though it lacked substacne.
It was nice to catch up with old friends but I fet that there was little development in anyone
I may read it again but its not on my to keep list.which is sad as I like these people and have enjoted reading about them

3.0 out of 5 stars ok ish, 8 May 2014
got board and gave up which for me is rare as I try to get to the end of everything. After all, the author has written a story and it should be shown some respect but this I just could not be bothered with..
It was not bad just not engaging and I couldn't care either way what happened to the characters.
May need to change my expectations but have noticed that this is not an uncommon thing recently. May need to be more selective

sweet and easy to read. Not hard to get through; a pleasant way to spend a few hours, undemanding and light.
