I decided to wait a while before reviewing this freezer so as to give it a fair trial period. So far it has lived up to expectations. The unit continues to hold the set temperature and mine is nicely finished and looks good in its location on a counter in my kitchen. As has been commented by others, the door is stainless steel while the rest of the body is metal finished in black. My freezer has proved to be a soundly constructed product.

The Alien Dark: Tsr Book by Diana G. Gallagher
I consider this novel to be a forgotten classic of science fiction. It's an unusual space exploration and first contact story, packed with originality and fascinating insights into an alien culture. Personalities, prejudices, desires and secret intrigues are portrayed with real flair.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun to watch, 27 Jun 2011
Zhang Yimou's Curse of the Golden Flower has had little praise from a lot of professional reviewers. I don't care, I will watch anything with Gong Li in the cast. Chow Yun Fat has always been good value in a film, too. Actually, I've been pleasantly surprised by the film's entertainment value. Curse of the Golden Flower is action packed, full of fabulously staged sets and exotic costumes and, has a script heavily laced with the worst aspects of human nature. Conspiracy, treachery, sexual exploitation and murder, you name it.

I've seen it unkindly described as an exploitation movie, an unattractive pastiche of classic Chinese film tradition. I've no interest in these kind of… Read more
