I have listened to a lot of albums over the years, a lot, like most of the readers here I'm sure. I all too often buy an album after falling in love with one particular song I've heard on the radio, but often only a couple of songs from the album particularly draw me in; the rest I can take or leave. Amy Macdonald's album is a total exception. I honestly can't imagine how such amazing songs can have been produced - I only wish I had half that talent. I can listen to Run, Footballer's Wife, Youth of Today, Wish for Something More and Poison Prince over and over again without getting in the slightest bit bored. My personal favourite is Let's Start A Band - it's just amazing, can't really say… Read more

Just absolutely outstandingly beautiful. I first bought Siren, and fell in love with "Blood of me" and "Winterblue" - they're such haunting songs that stay in your mind for days later... Heather's songs are a million steps up from the horribly cheesy pop that just keeps coming and coming...I just wish she was more well-known,she deserves more credit.
"Oyster" is another album which is just great. First of all my favourite tracks were "Walk this world" and "Island", which seem to stand out so much, but you really have to listen to it over... "Heal" is SO haunting and powerful, the mix of the magical lyrics and beautiful melody and harmony almost make me wanna cry! It sounds so stupid… Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars B*R*I*L*L*I*A*N*T!!, 4 Dec 2003
I first bought this after hearing "Even Angels Fall" which featured in one of my fave films ~ 10 things I hate about you, and for a while I never was totally mad about it...but after hearing it a few times you notice how good it really is. I really like "Symphony" and "For Wowser", but my favourite of all has definitely got to be "Everything". All I can say is buy the album even for this song! Its amazing, its such a powerful song, its got the most moving accompaniment to it, and I could listen to it all day. Buy it!
