5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Brilliant, 2 April 2002
Ive seen U2 three times now, from Zoo TV through Popmart and now Elevation 2001. I thought they were absolutely brilliant on this last tour because of its full on 'concentration'if you like.. on their music rather than the visuals of the past tours. This DVD quite simply proves that fact right from the off. Bono knows how to work the crowd, and the band as always, deliver. Bono is the only rock showman (of a dying breed) left now i reckon, he does it very well. Every song has that extra edge (pun not intentional) about it, from 'Elevation' itself right through to the finale of 'Walk on'. The standout performances are (in my opinion) 'Bullet The Blue Sky', U2's attack on gun culture in… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic, 25 Nov 2001
The undisputed best rock band in the world release a brilliant new version of the 4th track to be taken from their latest album 'All That You Can't Leave Behind'. It sounds like Bono, Edge and Adam Clayton have given Larry Mullen Jnr the freedom of the studio to just drum away to. Walk on is in my view one of the best single releases in their career. Not suprising since they are better now then at any time in their career to date. It deserves lots of admiration this song, its buoyant, uplifting and refreshing from the dross still clogging up the singles chart. So no apologies for a good review because A) its a great song and B) i'm not from the NME. So give the charts a respectable look… Read more
Bohemian Like You ~ Dandy Warhols
Bohemian Like You ~ Dandy Warhols
With the singles chart in Britain still topped to the hilt with dross (e.g. Bob The Builder) you can imagine my relief at hearing such an uplifting hard rocker like 'Bohemian Like Me'. It has the beat of a speeding train, gravely guitars and a dark though textured vocal, making it the best single of the year so far. Not the best song with the word 'Bohemian' in the title of that I personally have no doubt, but all the same an excellent song. The only indignity it will suffer is that it will be a top ten in the adolescent top 40 in the U.K.
