Ice Patrol [DVD]
5.0 out of 5 stars Superb DVD, 15 Dec 2011
This excellent and value for money DVD includes some superb photography that will fascinate those with an interest in the Royal Navy, ships in general, the Antarctic as well as casual viewers who like to watch interesting documentaries. One feels as if they are actually there , sitting alongside the ships company of HMS Endurance as they work through their deployment in Antarctica. I have enjoyed every minute of the DVD and believe it is worth re-watching for the beautiful scenes featured of places the majority of us will never see depicted. An all round success!
Pegasus Bridge and Horsa Bridge (Battleground Euro&hellip by Carl Shilleto
The fact that this particular volume has been re-printed for the third time, speaks volumes for the popularity of this title. As an ardent reader of military titles, I must confess to being a great admirer of both Pen and Sword in general and the Battleground Europe series in particular, as this series represents excellent value for money, the volumes are easy to read and are handy to carry and either take on tour, or read just about anywhere when you have a few minutes to spare! Titles in the series are always packed to the hilt with excellent photographs, numerous easy to read maps and valuable statistics plus superb and informative narrative, that has been put together after much detailed… Read more
Picking Up the Brass by Eddy Nugent
Picking Up the Brass by Eddy Nugent
This is a great little book that provided me with many hours of light reading. Anyone with army connections will be sure to enjoy it! Beware however if you are thinking of reading this before heading for the recruiting office-it might make you want to do a swift about turn and head back home! I am now going to order the sequel and hope that is as good! I dont often give five stars for a review, but this was worth every one of them!
