Hang-Ups ~ Goldfinger
Hang-Ups ~ Goldfinger

I, like 95% of the people who have bought this album, bought it for Superman, and yes, it is a very good tune. However, the band made the great decision to have it as the lead in track of the album and get it out of the way, and then we get into the meat of the album. And it's as meaty as Meat Loaf's dinner.
Goldfinger are a band who like to mix it up a bit. They havn't spent their whole career playing just ska, or just punk, or just metal. 5.0 out of 5 stars Twenty years young, 6 Sep 2004
It hardly seems like twenty years since messers Murray and co were first here to save the world, and watching this DVD, you'll find it hard to believe too. I know DVD is supposed to provide good picture quality, but making a show as old as myself look as though it was made yesterday seems nothing short of a miracle!
Everyone knows the plot, a group of doctors open a business to catch the rising number of ghosts in new york and end up facing an apocolypse. The plot is still absorbing, and the script is perfectly played by a brilliant cast headed by Bill Murray.
An observation that I must make is the persona of Murray. When you see him in any film, he is one of those actors that… Read more
Angel - Season 3 (Box Set 1) [VHS] [2000] VHS ~ David Boreanaz
By it's third season, Angel was established enough as a series to start to have a deeper look at itself. We now know all about the moody titular vampire with a soul who has more dark moments than coffee, so this is the time to give him an extension of character and a new worry.
The gift the writers have is the ability to exploit the shows mythology and give us amazing plot twists that don't seem stupid or over the top, really. When Darla returns, the audience is treated to ramifications of the second season episode 'epiphany', a luxury not afforded to most 'storry of the week' shows. Indeed, the arc structure takes over this season strongly from the start of the second quarter and… Read more
