Escape by Dominique Manotti
Escape by Dominique Manotti
Not your usual crime fiction fare. There's nothing even slightly predictable about Dominique Manotti's work and she keeps you guessing all the way.
A Madras Miasma by Brian Stoddart
A Madras Miasma by Brian Stoddart
5.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing, 24 Jun 2014
It's an intriguing book and unusual in both the location and the time in 1920s Madras. Brian Stoddart has crafted a tale full of twists and the interplay between the British themselves and the Indian characters gives plenty of scope for the mystery to be unravelled. Very pleased to see he's left the story at the right moment for the series to be continued and I'm looking forward to the next one.

At last. A long overdue and much appreciated reissue of these great stories by Alan Williams, starting with Long Run South.
