The Thick Of It: The Complete Series 1-3 & Special&hellip DVD ~ Chris Addison

I only caught up with "The Thick Of It" when Series 4 was shown on BBC recently and was immediately hooked and had to order the box set to catch up.

Oh my God it is simply brilliant and has spawned the best TV character since Blackadder in Malcolm Tucker. While profanties abound, it is not just the usual use of the eff word but a hilarious and imaginitive series of abuse and expletives that bounce around the script like confetti.

It is laugh out loud funny at times and, if you are not shocked by swearing and have an interest in politics, then this is must see viewing. Simply one of the best comedies of all time and for me the best satirical comedy I have ever seen.

Whilst not full of typical "rugger" anecdotes this is a much more interesting account of the life of a rugby perfectionist. Painfully honest throughout it really feels like Jonny has bared his soul and told his life story from within the body and mind of someone for whom anything less than total dedication is unacceptable.

Covering the rise and fall of English rugby I would thoroughly recommend this book to rugby and sports fans of any nationality.

Having owned an iPad (fantastic - just get one) for about 6 months I finally succumbed to the lure of the iMac with promises of legendary usability, speed and quietness after a lifetime using various versions of Microsoft operating systems and PC/Laptops.

Let's be clear, while the iMac usability is great, it does take lots of time to adjust to the way Apple does things and things that are "second nature" have to be re-learnt. Also, I am not convinced that the usability between the very latest Windows versions and Apple are that great although undeniably the iMac (Lion) interface is excellent and certainly wins any beauty contest.
