Stoner: A Novel (Vintage Classics) by John Williams
5 of 8 people found the following review helpful
This novel is definitely overestimated, in my opinion. I believe that the charming definition of "forgotten masterpiece" has spread the idea that this book really is an underappreciated gem. Although the term "masterpiece" is always debatable, if you want to include this book in the series of those that should not get lost, I think you're wrong. It is a novel as another; at times very boring, bland, where the author lingers too long in details sometimes completely irrelevant to the story itself. Stoner's character is bland, colorless, weak, unattractive. The psychology of the characters, in general, is strange, unlikely.
Don't waste your time.
Anker Vertical Ergonomic Optical USB Wired Mouse 1&hellip by Anker
Though sensitivity is good, I don't like this mouse mainly because of its buttons: they're very hard to press. After a few days, I've had to go back to my old "normal" mouse. So disappointing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Missing Audio CDs, 15 Mar 2014
I bought this book after browsing it for a while in the library. I had noticed there were "listening" sections that might have turned out particularly useful. I thought I would fine the tracks in the included CD-ROM, only to discover that they were on some audio CDs not shipped with book. I got so pissed off! That the CDs are missing is not clearly explained anywhere on the front/back covers, and now I have to spend other 45 pounds to get them! be advised that this book is almost useless without the CDs and you have to buy them separately.
