5.0 out of 5 stars Useful for every cook!, 18 July 2010
I love this book. Not only does it have a excellent techniques section at the front and a series of guides to be used as reference for all types of cooking. Some old and classic recipes, but many more modern ideas too and a really interesting section on exotic meats. It's text heavy and certainly not one of those 'coffee table' cookery books but a reference guide that will last a lifetime. You'll never need to buy another book on meat!

Really poor quality, I thought I'd risk these on the fact they may have been a cheap gem, alas I was wrong. Really bad design that holds very little weight, needed sellotaping to feel secure... wouldn't order again! Shame really, I hate writing bad reviews!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!, 16 Nov 2004
Multi-region fully functional dvd player for £30. Very impressive- not for the serious user though, my only slight problems were the lack of on unit display (or even a light to tell you its turned on!) and the menu system/osd are a little cumbersome and it is a little noisy but what do you expect forr £30. Otherwise fantastic as a second player, region 3 dvds worked first time and picture is really quite good on a smaller (17ins lcd)screen. If you own a large screen or plasma though I would invest in something of the £80-150 mark just for the higher quality connections and build.
Thanks starlogic for producing a quality and economically viable product!
