Energenie Remote Control Sockets (Pack of 4) by Energenie
1.0 out of 5 stars None of them worked., 9 May 2014
So I was excited to buy these since I'd read a lot of reviews of similar products where the sockets don't work, and this one seemed to have a lot of positive reviews stating that they worked. Well when I got them out of the box the light on the front of each one turned on, however that was all they did. No matter what combination of buttons I pressed, or how long I pressed them for none of them did absolutely anything. None worked with the remote at all. I googled the problem and tried everything that seemed to work for everyone else but nothing happened. I wouldn't have minded if even one of them had functioned correctly but none of them did, so I returned them. Very disappointing.

I'm 18 and I'm guessing this book is probably aimed at a very slightly younger age group than me. I'm not normally a person to nitpick at books but some things in this book just seemed to come far too easily to the characters, and I never really worried about the characters survival either, it just seemed like a given that the main ones were going to… Read more

I received the prequel to this book for my birthday last year and this series of books really is hard to put down. I wouldn't describe them as gripping, they're not exciting or action filled but they feel like the equivalent of a TV soap, you keep on reading because you get so engrossed in the character's lives that you feel you have to know what happens.
Something that annoys me is that the author tends to go into massive detail about the clothes the characters are wearing, describing the brands, colours, sizes every time a character is wearing something new. While it helps you get a good picture of the scene, and it is in keeping with the theme of the book since nearly all the… Read more
