This is the fourth book in the Lennox series and having read them all this one has to be the best yet. Set in Glasgow in 1956 Lennox the P.I. gets involved in what he thinks should be an easy case to crack, this turns out not to be the case, he also gets a bit of help from an unlikely quarter. Cracking story , I had it read in two days, If you enjoyed the other Lennox books you certainly will enjoy this one and with all the usual Glasgow wit here and there through out the book it makes a very entertaining read.

I found this book to be interesting from start to finish, the true story of the murders and cover up were so bizarre it was like fiction, but of course wasn't.
Well written book and for anyone interested in true crime is a must read.
The Deep Dark Sleep: A Lennox Thriller (Lennox 3) by Craig Russell

The latest in the Lennox series " The Deep Dark Sleep " is the best yet in the Lennox series, I enjoyed every minute reading it , terrific plot and Lennox lives up to the witty private detective P.I. hard man who seen plenty of action in the past in world war 2 and now post war in the Glasgow underworld. The three Lennox books by Craig Russell are all fast and gripping and I hope we don't have to wait too long for the next case Lennox has to deal with.
Highly recommended.
